دشمنت ترسان اگر بیند ترااز خیابانت چو گل چیند ترا
English translation
Thy enemy, observing thee afraid, will pluck thee from thy bower like a bloom;
Urdu translation
جب دشمن تجھے خوف زدہ دیکھتا ہے تو ایسے توڑ لیتا ہے جیسے کیاری سے پھول توڑا جاتا ہے۔

This is couplet 20 of 31 in “در معنی اینکہ یأس و حزن و خوف ام الحبا ئث است و قاطع حیات، و توحید ازالۂ این امراض خبیثہ می کند” (That Despair, Grief and Fear are the Mother of Abominations, destroying Life; end that Belief in Unity of God puts an end to those Foul Diseases) in the section The Pillars of Islam, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Rumuz-e-Bekhudi (رموزِ بیخودی), published in 1918.
