English translation
I said to him, ‘Hide not a secret from your confidants; what is it that you see in this silent dust?
Urdu translation
میں نے اس سے کہا اپنوں سے راز نہ چھپا؛ تجھے خاموش خاک میں کیا نظر آتا ہے۔

This is couplet 34 of 48 in “عارف ہندی کہ بہ یکی از غار ہای قمر خلوت گرفتہ و اہل ہند او را جہان دوست میگویند” (An Indian Ascetic, Known To The People Of India As Jahandost, Who Lives As A Hermit In One Of The Caverns Of The Moon) in the section The Sphere of the Moon, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
