روح ناصر خسرو علوی و غزلی مستانہ سراییدہ
ہندیان منکر ز قانون فرنگدر نگیرد سحر و افسون فرنگروح را بار گران آئین غیرگرچہ آید ز آسمان آئین غیر
English translation
The Indians reject the statutes of Europe; they are immune to Europe’s magic charms;
Alien laws are a heavy burden on the soul even though they descend from heaven itself.
Urdu translation
آج کل ہندی قانون فرنگ سے انکاری ہیں؛ وہ فرنگیوں کے سحر و افسوں کو قبول نہیں کرتے۔غیر کا آئین روح پر بار گراں ثابت ہوتا ہے؛ خواہ وہ آسمان ہی سے کیوں نہ اترا ہو۔
