عجم از نغمہ ام آتش بجان است
عجم از نغمہ ام آتش بجان استصدای من درای کاروان استحدی را تیز تر خوانم چو عرفیکہ رہ خوابیدہ و محمل گران است
English translation
The soul of Persia kindles at my song, the caravan moves on, my call is strong;
Like Urfi I will lift a livelier lilt, for heavy is the load, the way sleeps long.
