در معنی اینکہ چون ملت محمدیہ موسس بر توحید و رسالت است پس نہایت مکانی ندارد
زانکہ ما از سینہ جان گم کردہ ایمخویش را در خاکدان گم کردہ ایم
English translation
We, who have lost the souls within our breasts, have therefore lost ourselves in this mean dust.
Urdu translation
چونکہ ہم اپنے سینہ سے جان گم کر چکے ہیں؛ اس لیے ہم اس خاکدان دنیا میں گم ہو گئے۔

This is couplet 15 of 38 in “در معنی اینکہ چون ملت محمدیہ موسس بر توحید و رسالت است پس نہایت مکانی ندارد” (That Since The Muhammadan Community Is Founded Upon Belief In One God And Apostleship, Therefore It Is Not Bounded By Space) in the section The Pillars of Islam, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Rumuz-e-Bekhudi (رموزِ بیخودی), published in 1918.
