صوفی کی طریقت میں فقط مستی احوالملا کی شریعت میں فقط مستی گفتار

شاعر کی نوا مردہ و افسردہ و بے ذوقافکار میں سرمست، نہ خوابیدہ نہ بیدار

The Poet's song of zeal; bereft is dead and struck with frost: To outward eyes he seems awake, though in thoughts completely lost.

وہ مرد مجاہد نظر آتا نہیں مجھ کوہو جس کے رگ و پے میں فقط مستی کردار

Alas! My eyes do not behold the Holy Knight whose fervour high may cause his blood to seethe and boil in veins that lend such might to thigh.
