English translation

Those who had fears for the future days, they died yesterday before coming days.
Lucky are those whose dress of today, is booming with success day by day.

(Iqbal has taken the first two lines from a verse of Amir Khisro with basic thought: To whom future looms with fears and gloom, to mankind thus they bring only doom.)

Translated by Q.A. Kabir
