His feet were firmly planted on the path of Muhammad; He was a flute for the impassioned music of love.

جو حضور اکرم (صلعم) کے طریقے پر مضبوطی سے قائم تھے، جن کی جان سے عشق و محبت کے نغمے پھوٹتے تھے۔

This is couplet 13 of 34 in “در بیان اینکہ مقصد حیات مسلم، اعلای کلمة اللہ است و جہاد، اگر محرک آن جوع الارض باشد در مذہب اسلام حرام است” (Showing that the purpose of the Muslim's life is to exalt the Word of Allah, and that the Jih«d (was against unbelievers), if it be prompted by land-hunger, is unlawful in the religion of Islam), from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Asrar-e-Khudi (اسرارِ خودی), published in 1915.
