کی حق سے فرشتوں نے اقبال کی غمازی
خاکی ہے مگر اس کے انداز ہیں افلاکیرومی ہے نہ شامی ہے، کاشی نہ سمرقندی
English translation
Though born of mud and water, yet a god assumes to be: Not bound to any home or land, of earthly ties is free.
