عارف ہندی کہ بہ یکی از غار ہای قمر خلوت گرفتہ و اہل ہند او را جہان دوست میگویند
شیشۂ خود را بہ گردون بستہ طاقفکرش از جبریل میخواہد صداق
English translation
He has made of his glass the arch of heaven, his thought seeks to be boon- companion of Gabriel!
Urdu translation
اس نے اپنی صراحی کے لیے آسمان کو طاق بنایا ہے؛ اس کا فکر جبریل سے تصدیق چاہتا ہے۔

This is couplet 18 of 48 in “عارف ہندی کہ بہ یکی از غار ہای قمر خلوت گرفتہ و اہل ہند او را جہان دوست میگویند” (An Indian Ascetic, Known To The People Of India As Jahandost, Who Lives As A Hermit In One Of The Caverns Of The Moon) in the section The Sphere of the Moon, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
