زندہ رود مشکلات خود را پیش ارواح بزرگ میگوید
من ندارم طاقت آن، تاب آنکان فزون آمد ز کوششہای جان
English translation
I cannot endure its glowing heat which is too great for the strivings of my soul." – Rumi.
Urdu translation
تو مجھ میں اس کی تاب و تواں نہیں ؛ وہ (میری) جان کی کوشش سے بڑھ کر ہے'۔

This is couplet 28 of 113 in “زندہ رود مشکلات خود را پیش ارواح بزرگ میگوید” (Zinda-Rud Propounds His Problems To The Great Spirits) in the section The Sphere of Jupiter, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
