English translation

O man of lofty attributes, what is Tariqah: To see the Shari‘ah in the recesses of life’s heart.
(Tariqah, path: This is another term in mysticism that is sometimes opposed to Shari’ah. Iqbal tries to explain that Tariqah is Shari’ah when its laws are followed in their real spirit.)
