تا نگاہ او ادب از دل نخوردچشم او را جلوۂ افرنگ برد
English translation
Since the believers sight was not disciplined by the heart, the glamour of the West bewitched his eyes.

چونکہ مسلمان کی نگاہ (کیفیت) قلب سے تربیت یافتہ نہ تھی؛ اس لیے اس کی آنکھ جلوہ ء افرنگ سے چندھیا گئی۔
