سوز سخن ز نالۂ مستانۂ دل است
سوز سخن ز نالۂ مستانۂ دل استاین شمع را فروغ ز پروانۂ دل است
English translation
The fervent quality of verse comes from the heart’s ecstatic cry. This candle is alight thanks to the heart, which is its moth.

دل کے نالہ ء مستانہ ہی سے سخن میں سوز پیدا ہوتا ہے، اس شمع (سخن) کی چمک پروانہء دل ہی کے سبب ہے۔
