سوز سخن ز نالۂ مستانۂ دل است
مشت گلیم و ذوق فغانی نداشتیمغوغای ما ز گردش پیمانۂ دل است
English translation
A handful of mere dust, we had no gusto for lament. Our clamour is all due to the rotation of the heart’s wine-cup.

ہم مٹھی بھر خاک ہیں اور چاک ذوق فغاں نہیں رکھتی، ہماری ساری ہائے و ہو پیمانہء دل کی گردش کے سبب سے ہے۔
