بتان تازہ تراشیدہ ای دریغ از تو
طواف کعبہ زدی گرد دیر گردیدینگہ بہ خویش نپیچیدہ ئی دریغ از تو
English translation
You went around the Ka‘bah, and you went around the idol-house. But you did not engage your vision with yourself. Alas!

تو نے کعبہ کا طواف بھی کیا ، دیر (بتخانہ) کے گرد بھی پھرا، مگر افسوس کہ تو نے اپنے آپ پر نگاہ نہ ڈالی۔
