برگ سبزی کز نہال خویش ریختاز بھاران تار امیدش گسیخت
English translation
When the verdant leaf falls from the stem,
its thread of hope for spring is snapped asunder.
Urdu translation
پتّہ اگر اپنے درخت سے گر جاتا ہے تو بہار کے موسم میں بھی اس کے سرسبز ہونے کی امید ختم ہو جاتی ہے۔
