English translation
Its meaning is to leap from shallowness, to quit the dew, the ocean to subdue.
Urdu translation
ہجرت کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ جہاں پانی (امکانات) کم ہو ؛ اس جگہ کو چھوڑ دیا جائے؛ شبنم کو چھوڑنا اس لیے تاکہ سمندر کو تسخیر کیا جائے۔

This is couplet 27 of 38 in “در معنی اینکہ چون ملت محمدیہ موسس بر توحید و رسالت است پس نہایت مکانی ندارد” (That Since The Muhammadan Community Is Founded Upon Belief In One God And Apostleship, Therefore It Is Not Bounded By Space) in the section The Pillars of Islam, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Rumuz-e-Bekhudi (رموزِ بیخودی), published in 1918.
