در معنی اینکہ حسن سیرت ملیہ از تأدب بہ داب محمدیہ است
نغمہ ئی داری اگر تنہا مزنجز بشاخ بوستان ما مزن
English translation
If thou dost own a melody carol it not alone, nor let it soar but on a branch that in our garden grows.
Urdu translation
اگر تو کوئی نغمہ رکھتا ہے تو اسے اکیلے نہ گا؛ ہمارے باغ کی شاخ کے علاوہ اور کہیں جا کے نہ گا۔

This is couplet 29 of 43 in “در معنی اینکہ حسن سیرت ملیہ از تأدب بہ داب محمدیہ است” (That A Good Communal Character Derives From Discipline According To The Manners Of The Prophet (S.A.W)) in the section The Pillars of Islam, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Rumuz-e-Bekhudi (رموزِ بیخودی), published in 1918.
