عرض حال مصنف بحضور رحمة للعالمین
این تمنا در دلم خوابیدہ مانددر صدف مثل گہر پوشیدہ ماند
English translation
And yet this yearning slumbered in my heart, close-shrouded as the pearl within the shell;

مگر یہ تمنا میرے دل میں خوابیدہ رہی ؛ اور صدف میں موتی کی طرح پوشیدہ رہی۔
