ترا این کشمکش اندر طلب نیستترا این درد و داغ و تاب وتب نیستاز آن از لامکان بگریختم منکہ آنجا نالہ ہای نیم شب نیست

English translation

Thou hast no quest in thy efforts and zeals, no wounds and scars and writhing reels.
From His sideless* House I preferred a flight, it was void of wails of the mid of night.
(*Sideless viz, the empyrean (Spencer) or perhaps higher than it; Emprian abode of angels in the Heavens.

تجھے جستجو میں (میری طرح) تگ و دو حاصل نہیں؛ تو عشق کے درد و سوز اور اس کے پیچ و تاب سے آشنا نہیں ہے۔میں لا مکاں سے اس لیے گریزاں رہتا ہوں کہ وہاں نالہ ہائے نیم شب نہیں۔
