دل ملا گرفتار غمی نیستنگاہی ہست، در چشمش نمی نیستاز آن بگریختم از مکتب اوکہ در ریگ حجازش زمزمی نیست

English translation

The ‘mullah’ never knows the pangs of grief; no tears ever flow in his eyes and belief;
From his School of quacks I took to my heels; the sounds of desert chants* his dust can’t feel.
* Here it means the sound of a chant of the caravans going to Holy land.

ملا کا دل کسی غم میں گرفتار نہیں؛ اس کی آنکھ میں بینائی تو ہے مگر نمی نہیں۔میں اس کے مکتب سے اس لیے چلا آیا ؛ کیونکہ اس کی ریگ حجاز (مذہبی علوم) میں (روحانیت کا چشمہ) زمزم نہیں۔
