When the deer fled from the sacred territory of Makkah, the hunter's arrow pierced her side.

This is couplet 58 of 72 in “اندرز میر نجات نقشبند المعروف بہ بابای صحرائی کہ برای مسلمانان ہندوستان رقم فرمودہ است” (The advice of Mir Najat Naqshband, known as Baba-e-Sahrai, written for the Muslims of India.), from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Asrar-e-Khudi (اسرارِ خودی), published in 1915.
