English translation
Life means to adorn oneself in one’s self, to desire to bear witness to one’s own being;
Urdu translation
زندگی اپنے آپ کو اپنی نظروں میں آراستہ کرنا اور اپنے وجود پر شہادت طلب کرنا ہے۔

This is couplet 27 of 104 in “تمہید زمینی: آشکارا می شود روح حضرت رومی و شرح میدہد اسرار معراج را” (Prelude On Earth: The Spirit of Rumi appears and explains the mystery of the Ascension), from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
