خطاب بہ مصطفی کمال پاشا
اے بسا صید کہ بی دام بہ فتراک زدیمدر بغل تیر و کمان کشتۂ نخچیر شدیم
English translation
How many quarries we once caught without nets and tied to our saddle straps! But now, with bows and arrows under armpits, we ourselves became our quarries’ prey.

ایک وقت تھا جب ہم نے بغیر کسی جال کے جہت سے شکار اپنے فتراک میں باندھ لیے اب بغل میں تیر و کمان رکھتے ہوئے بھی ہم اپنے ہی شکار کے کشتہ ہیں۔
