مرا ز دیدۂ بینا شکایت دگر است
نوای من بہ عجم آتش کہن افروختعرب ز نغمۂ شوقم ہنوز بی خبر است

My song has relit old fires in Persia, but Arabia is still a stranger to my ardent lays.

میری نوا نے عجم میں پھر پرانی آگ (اسلام کی) روشن کر دی ہے، لیکن عرب ابھی تک میرے نغمہء شوق سے بے خبر ہے۔
