بیا کہ ساقی گلچہرہ دست بر چنگ است
ز خود گذشتہ ئی اے قطرہ محال اندیششدن بہ بحر و گہر برنخاستن ننگ است
English translation
You have surpassed yourself, O water-drop. It were a great shame to get to the sea, and then not come up as a pearl.

اے مشکل پرست قطرے تو اپنے آپ کو بھول چکا ہے، ورنہ بحر میں ہونا اور گوہر بن کے نہ نکلنا باعث شرم ہے۔
