حسرت جلوۂ آن ماہ تمامی دارم
پردہ برگیرم و در پردہ سخن میگویمتیغ خونریزم و خود را بہ نیامی دارم
English translation
I draw the curtain and behind it speak. O I am a blood-shedding sword, but I keep myself sheathed.

میں نے اپنے تئیں پردے میں رکھا ہوا ہے، کناتہ بات کرتا ہوں ؛ تیغ خون ریز ہوں، مگر اپنے آپ کو نیام میں رکھتا ہوں ۔
