ہوس منزل لیلی نہ تو داری و نہ من
من جوان ساقی و تو پیر کہن میکدہ ئیبزم ما تشنہ و صہبا نہ تو داری و نہ من
English translation
I am a young wine-server and you keeper of an old wine-shop. The company is thirsty, yet wine neither you have, nor have I.

میں جوان ساقی ہوں اور تو میکدہء (تصوّف) کا پیر کہن ، بزم پیاسی ہے لیکن شراب نہ تیرے پاس ہے نہ میرے پاس۔
