خواجہ یی نیست کہ چون بندہ پرستارش نیست
دل ما قشقہ زد و برہمنی کرد ولیآنچنان کرد کہ شایستہ زنارش نیست
English translation
My heart applied the qashqa to the brow, and took to Brahmins’ ways; but did so in a manner which did not befit its sacred thread.

میرے دل نے قشقہ لگایا اور برہمنی اختیار کی، لیکن یہ کام اس طرح کیا جو زنّار کے شان شایان نہیں۔
