سر خوش از بادۂ تو خم شکنی نیست کہ نیست

تا حدیث تو کنم بزم سخن می سازمورنہ در خلوت من انجمنی نیست کہ نیست

English translation

I hold poetic gatherings only to sing of you, for otherwise there is no gathering that I cannot conjure up in my solitude.

میں نے اس لیے بزم آراستہ کی ہے تا کہ آپ (صلعم) کی صفت بیان کروں ، ورنہ کوئی ایسی انجمن نہیں جو مجھے خلوت میں میسّر نہ ہو۔
