شوکت شام و فر بغداد رفتسطوت غرناطہ ہم از یاد رفت
English translation
Vanished now from ken Damascus might, the splendour of Baghdad, Granada’s majesty, all lost to mind;
Urdu translation
شام و بغداد کی شان و شوکت جاتی رہی؛ سطوت غرناطہ کی یاد بھی ذہنوں سے محو ہوئی۔
