Urged ever onwards by the needs of life, Raised up to rove the skies, though earthbound still;

This is couplet 22 of 47 in “در معنی اینکہ تو سیع حیات ملیہ از تسخیر قوای نظام عالم است” (That The Expansion Of Communal Life Depends Upon Controlling The Forces Of World Order) in the section The Pillars of Islam, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Rumuz-e-Bekhudi (رموزِ بیخودی), published in 1918.
