خیال من بہ تماشای آسمان بود است
ز داغ لالۂ خونین پیالہ می بینمکہ این گسستہ نفس صاحب فغان بود است
English translation
The panting tulip sighed; how deeply, well I know; her cup with blood is dyed, her heart’s a brand aglow.

لالہ ء خونیں پیالہ کے باغ سے میں اندازہ کرتا ہوں؛ کہ یہ خاموش زبان بھی کبھی صاحب فغاں رہ چکا ہے۔
