The spirit slept at rest, desire stirred not the breast, then struck a drunken air caught in my circling snare.

زندگی عدم میں بغیر ذوق تمنا کے آسودہ تھی؛ میرے حلقہ ء دام میں آ کر اس نے مستانہ وار فریاد شروع کر دی (عشق نے حیات کو نیا رنگ دیا)۔
