کبھی اے حقیقت منتظر نظر لباس مجاز میں
نہ وہ عشق میں رہیں گرمیاں،نہ وہ حسن میں رہیں شوخیاںنہ وہ غزنوی میں تڑپ رہی، نہ وہ خم ہے زلف ایاز میں
English translation
Neither Love has that warmth nor Beauty has that humour! Neither that restlessness in Ghaznavi nor those curls in the hair locks of Ayaz are.
