تمہید زمینی: آشکارا می شود روح حضرت رومی و شرح میدہد اسرار معراج را
آمر و خالق برون از امر و خلقما ز شست روزگاران خستہ حلق
English translation
The Orderer and Creator is outside Order and Creation; we - our throats are strangled by the noose of Fate.’
Urdu translation
آمر و خالق (اللہ) آمر و خالق سے باہر ہے؛ ہمارے حلق میں زمانے کا کانٹا پھنسا ہوا ہے۔

This is couplet 44 of 104 in “تمہید زمینی: آشکارا می شود روح حضرت رومی و شرح میدہد اسرار معراج را” (Prelude On Earth: The Spirit of Rumi appears and explains the mystery of the Ascension), from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
