رواح رذیلہ کہ با ملک و ملت غداری کردہ و دوزح ایشان را قبول نکردہ
ملتے کو بند ہر ملت گشادملک و دینش از مقام خود فتاد
English translation
A nation, which had loosed the bonds of every nation, thus lost its high sovereignty and its faith.
Urdu translation
وہ ملت اسلامیہ جس نے ہر ملت کی غلامی کے بند کھولے تھے اس کی سلطنت اور اس کا دین اپنے بلند مقام سے نیچے گر گیا۔
About this couplet
This is couplet 13 of 17 in “رواح رذیلہ کہ با ملک و ملت غداری کردہ و دوزح ایشان را قبول نکردہ” (The Sphere Of Saturn: The vile spirits which have betrayed the nation and have been rejected by Hell) in the section The Sphere of Saturn, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
