رواح رذیلہ کہ با ملک و ملت غداری کردہ و دوزح ایشان را قبول نکردہ
در گلش تخم غلامی را کہ کشتاین ہمہ کردار آن ارواح زشت
English translation
Who sowed in its soil the seed of slavery? All this is the handiwork of those evil spirits.
Urdu translation
اس کی مٹی میں کس نے غلامی کا بیج بویا؟ یہ سارا کام انہی ارواح خبیثہ کا ہے۔
About this couplet
This is couplet 16 of 17 in “رواح رذیلہ کہ با ملک و ملت غداری کردہ و دوزح ایشان را قبول نکردہ” (The Sphere Of Saturn: The vile spirits which have betrayed the nation and have been rejected by Hell) in the section The Sphere of Saturn, from Allama Muhammad Iqbal's Persian book Javid Nama (جاوید نامہ), published in 1932.
