در حضور شاہ ہمدان
"بگذر ز ما و نالۂ مستانہ ئی مجویبگذر ز شاخ گل کہ طلسمی است رنگ و بوے
English translation
‘Pass us by, and seek not an impassioned lament, pass from the rose-twig, that talisman of colour and scent.
Urdu translation
ہمیں ہمارے حال پر چھوڑ دے ہم سے نالہء مستانہ کی خواہش نہ رکھ، شاخ گل کی بات چھوڑ یہ رنگ و بو محض طلسم ہے۔
