در حضور شاہ ہمدان
گفتی کہ شبنم از ورق لالہ می چکدغافلی دلی است اینکہ بگرید کنار جوی
English translation
You said that dew was dripping from the tulip’s petals; nay, it is a feckless heart weeping beside the river.
Urdu translation
تو کہتا ہے کہ شبنم گل لالہ کی پتّی سے ٹپکی ہے، غافل یہ تو دل ہے جو ندی کے کنارے بیٹھا رو رہا ہے۔
