شاہین و ماہی
ماہی بچہ را سوز سخن چہرہ برافروختشاہین بچہ خندید و ز ساحل بہ ہوا خاست
English translation
The young fish spoke with passion and zest, its face beamed as it spoke. The eaglet laughed. From the shore it rose into the air.

بچہء ماہی نے اتنے جوش سے بات کی کہ اس کا چہرہ سرخ ہو گیا؛ شاہین بچہ مسکرایا؛ اس نے ساحل سے ہوا میں اڑان بھر لی۔
