حلقہ بستند سر تربت من نوحہ گران
بر کش آن نغمہ کہ سرمایہ آب و گل تستاے ز خود رفتہ تہی شو ز نوای دگران
English translation
Bring out the music which is in your nature’s make-up. O self-oblivious man, cast out of your head others’ tunes.

وہ نغمہ پیدا کر جو تیری سرشت کا سرمایہ ہے، اے اپنے آپ کو بھولے ہوئے! دوسروں کا راگ الاپنا چھوڑ دے۔
