حسرت جلوۂ آن ماہ تمامی دارم
حسن می گفت کہ شامی نپذیرد سحرمعشق می گفت تب و تاب دوامی دارم
English translation
‘My day’, said Beauty, ‘knows no evening.’ ‘I burn eternally’, said Love.

حسن کہتا تھا کہ میری سحر، شام قبول نہیں کرتی (میں لازوال ہوں) ؛ عشق کہتا تھا میری تب و تاب لا یزال (دائمی) ہے۔
