جہان عشق نہ میری نہ سروری داند
فرنگ شیشہ گری کرد و جام و مینا ریختبہ حیرتم کہ ہمین شیشہ را پری داند
English translation
The West makes glass, and fashions jars and cups. I am surprised it thinks the glass itself to be ‘the fairy in the glass.

فرنگ نے شیشہ گری کی اور جام و مینا بنا لیے، میں حیران ہوں کہ اب وہ اسی شیشہ کو پری (حسین مخلوق) سمجھتا ہے۔
