نوای من ازان پر سوز و بیباک و غم انگیز است
بہ بستان جلوہ دادم آتش داغ جدائی رانسیمش تیز تر می سازد و شبنم غلط ریز است
English translation
Awhile into the mead I came, naked my anguished spirit’s flame; the breeze of morning fiercer blew; my heart was sprinkled o’er with dew.

میں نے آتش داغ جدائی کے جلوہ کو باغ میں خوب نمایاں کیا؛ باد نسیم نے اس آگ کو اور بھڑکا یا، شبنم (نے کوشش کی مگر) اسے ٹھنڈا نہ کر سکی۔
