غلام زندہ دلانم کہ عاشق سرہ اند
بہ آن دلی کہ برنگ آشنا و بیرنگ استعیار مسجد و میخانہ و صنم کدہ اند
English translation
With such a heart as knows the hue, yet from all hue is free; in mosque, and inn, and temple, too, the touchstone sure they be.

وہ زندہ دل رنگ آشنا بھی ہیں اور بے رنگ بھی ، یہی لوگ مسجد، مے خانہ اور صنم کدہ کے لیے معیار ہیں۔
