باز بر رفتہ و آیندہ نظر باید کرد
تو اگر ترک جہان کردہ سر او داریپس نخستین ز سر خویش گذر باید کرد
English translation
‘If, the world being wholly spurned, unto Him thy mind is turned, first of all the things to do is thy own life to forgo.’

اگر تو صرف ترک جہان کے ذریعے اس تک پہنچنا چاہتا ہے تو یہ نا کافی ہے؛ پہلے تجھے اپنے سر کی قربانی دینا پڑے گی۔
